Welcome to OSSTube. These terms govern your use of our Educational Platform. By accessing our services, you agree to these conditions.
1. Intellectual Property (Embedded Content)
- Videos displayed on OSSTube are hosted on YouTube. OSSTube does not claim ownership of embedded videos; ownership remains with the respective YouTube content creators. OSSTube only provides an organized interface for these educational materials.
2. User Conduct
- Users are prohibited from using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access content on OSSTube.
3. Platform Usage & Educator Rights
- Authorization: Educators/Institutions categorized under "Education" have exclusive rights to create structured courses.
- Content Control: You retain full ownership of your content. You control which videos are imported, mapped, or disabled from the platform.
- Code of Conduct: Accounts found distributing misleading information, hate speech, or inappropriate content will be terminated immediately without notice.
4. Financial Terms (Revenue & Fees)
- Transaction Fee: A flat 7% fee is deducted from each course sale (covers 5% GST/Tax + 2% Platform Service Fee).
- Payouts: Revenue is settled to the Educator's registered bank account within the standard settlement cycle (T+Working Days).
- Course Access: Once a student purchases a course, they are granted unlimited access for the duration specified (typically 1 year or lifetime), subject to fair usage.
5. Subscription & Trials (Educator Plans)
- Free Trial: New Educators may be eligible for a 1-month free trial of the Professional Plan.
- Platform Fees: Post-trial, a standard platform fee (e.g., ₹1,000/month) applies for maintaining advanced features, unless waived under the "Star Educator" program.
- Star Educator Program (Fee Waiver): Educators who achieve 100+ Subscribers and 1+ Course Sale within 30 days are eligible for a waiver. A one-time activation fee (approx ₹4,328 / $50 USD) grants 1-year premium access with 0% monthly fees.
6. Career Opportunities for Students
Students who complete certified courses may be invited to our Career Connect portal. Qualifying candidates get exclusive interview opportunities with partner IT firms.Note: We value effort. Candidates who clear multiple rounds but miss the final selection may be eligible for a "Learning Stipend" (e.g., ₹500) as a gesture of encouragement, subject to specific campaign terms.
7. Disclaimer & Liability
OSSTube utilizes API services from third-party video platforms (like YouTube). We adhere strictly to their API Terms of Service. Views generated on OSSTube may count towards your original platform metrics, but ads may not display to ensure a distraction-free educational environment. OSSTube is not liable for disputes arising from third-party platform policies.
Refund Policy
- Final Sale: Course fees are non-refundable once the content has been accessed or after 14 days of purchase.
- Course Expiry: If a student remains inactive (0 progress) for 180 days, access may be paused. Re-activation may require a nominal fee.
